I fear this is going to get much worse. For years people have pitched using AI for low bandwidth streaming: AI based upsampling, super-resolution, enhancement, etc. So those digital photo artifacts, or that feeling that the audio fidelity is too good and might hallucinate details — it wouldn’t surprise me if we enter a world where Netflix does this by default. The equivalent of motion smoothing on your parents’ TV.

It’s crazy, I think this is the second or maybe third shitty Netflix documentary to poorly cover a topic already coved by the JSC-Criminal Psychology YouTube channel.
