With all due respect, the only thing that was nonsense about the Depp case was the article you linked to. Anyone with a brain knew she was referring to Depp in her op/ed. And not a single person who testified for her testified to witnessing abuse. Not one.
Let’s just hope these are lessons learned and not, “Wow, look at all this free press we got” ... for ‘messing up’ stuff. I’ll also second the underestimation of Top Gun Maverick :)
Id forgotten about the Depp defamation trial. Wild stuff. I too think cinema is in trouble. Was at Avatar* last night at the local small town AMC and they are subsisting on superhero stuff, which i feel is starting to get stale.
*your filmcast review was bananas 😂 definitely team Jeff and Devindra. It was an amazing spectacle- but i saw it on a regular screen with no 3D so Didnt experience the frame rate issues.
