As an adoptive parent of a kid from a different culture than mine, this movie illustrated some of my worst fears (am I doing more harm than good?). The themes of belonging and being part of a certain group hit really close to home. But this didn’t take away from the movie, I think it accentuated things for me.

I really enjoyed the Wild Robot and thought it was one of the most beautiful movies I’ve seen in a long time, both thematically and aesthetically. The overall message of the movie, that love knows no boundaries, is something that gives me strength.

I saw this movie with my kid. I don’t know if he still too young to catch all the subtleties of the story, or that he simply didn’t want to talk about it, but he told me he loved the movie and then gave e a big hug.

Good review - I think it's important to note that the movie is based on the children's book of the same name by Peter Brown. It is the first in a series of three novels: The Wild Robot, The Wild Robot Escapes, and The Wild Robot Protects. My son (aged 10) is a huge fan of the series and loved the movie.
